Carrying on with my look at the various themes in my photography, I’m moving from the details of things to seeing the world from a different perspective. I’m not sure when I started putting my camera on the ground, but I am sure that I was instantly a fan of the shot. Having spent the good portion of my life seeing things from a certain angle, it’s a nice change to see the world so differently. I’ve had a lot of good shots come from shooting with a wide angel lens (10-20) though my walk-around does a pretty good job as well. I think what I like most about the shots is how it almost forces the viewer to feel small and to take a second look at objects that they otherwise glance over. At the heart of this theme is the desire to see the world from a different viewpoint and, hopefully, to embody somewhat everyday objects with a greater sense of purpose.
