As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been discovering some themes that have been developing throughout the years of shooting photos. One thing that I’ve been drawn to is examining the detail of an object. Sometimes that means looking closely at the object as a whole, or other times it is getting so close that the object ceases to be easily identifiable. I think my interest is in the texture of the thing, in the lines and in the minute matter that makes up something larger. While I do love a grand and sweeping landscape, sometimes it’s a lot of fun to get up close and personal.
